Holly bank was a private school on the outskits of Chester. it was located in a large house that had been converted. At the top of the drive was a small cottage presumably once a gate house. One of the classrooms was so small only 8 desks fitted in. The school was later changed to a religious studies college. The school closed on 21 July 1995 and housing now occupies the site (Dawson Drive.)
