I attended St Quintin’s Park School (which I absolutely loved) up until it became Ladroke School for girls which I could not attend because my parents couldn’t afford the green uniform as I was one of nine children. I have very fond memories of my school days at St Quintin’s and all of my class mates and the wonderful teachers. I was so sad to leave it all behind me.

Fosse High School was situated at No. 90 Fosse Road South, Leicester, between Shaftesbury Avenue and Westcotes Drive. Still there but now converted into living accommodation.
The school's motto appeared under the badge "Meliora Peto" = "I ask for better things"!
It was a private mixed infant school - girls only at junior level.
I attended between 1942 and 1945 and still have memories of it.
