In 1974 children moved from the old St. Joseph’s site next to St. Agnes Church in Whitley Road to the newly built St. Thomas a Becket Catholic Infant and Junior Schools in Tutts Barn Lane.

Residential apartments, known as 'The Old School', now occupy the former school site.
