John was born in Ilford in July 1961 attending Cleveland School then after moving to Hainualt, attended Fairlop Juniors and Secondary. John was well known around the whole of Redbridge as a DJ and worked in C&A in Ilford and later as a Milkman in Clayhall. He was Akela at the 11th Ilford North Cubs until he moved to Devon in the 80's. He went on to work for Pontins and then cruise ships. In 1988 John emigrated to Sydney Australia where he managed in just 7 years to become just as well known and loved as he had in his life in England. John passed away on 28th October 2005 and was cremated in Australia. John was loved by everyone he met and greatly missed.
