Darkling Beetle (Lagria hirta)
After picking some blackcurrants and raspberries from the garden I found this little creature at the bottom of the box. Having spent the night in the fridge I was allowed 15 minutes or so to take a photo before he woke up. The not particularly attractive background is the plastic box!
