The Regal Lady, Scarborough
The MV Regal Lady was built in 1930 by Fellows & Co, Great Yarmouth as the 'Oulton Belle.' It participated in Operation Dynamo at Dunkirk during World War 2 before being decommissioned in 1946. The ship was moved to Scarborough between 1954 to 1970, then from 1970 to 1984 operated river trips around Norwich. In 1987 she returned to Scarborough where she was substantially rebuilt and again took passengers to sea along the Yorkshire coast and continues to do so. The Regal Lady is now classified as a National Historic Ship which is owned and preserved by Scarborough Pleasure Steamers Ltd.
